Sixth Creek Catchment Group would like to congratulate Richard Wallace as a recipient of an Adelaide Hills Council Civic Award on January 26th 2018. The award recognised Richard’s leadership of the Uraidla Sustainability Fair.
Richard and Wallace Web Design Development has generously hosted the SCCG website over many years. This is another example of his innovative contributions to raising the awareness of environmental issues within our community. Thank you Richard!
2017 State or Territory Landcare Awards
We didn’t win the award this year.
We were shortlisted though and Erica and I made the trip to the presentations.
Of course regardless of the award results our reward is the wonderful outcome from our work along Merchants Road and now the involvement of the Lower Sixth Creek subgroup.
So glad that Don was at the awards ceremony to share the moment with Erica and I.
We all know that he began this dream almost 30 years ago!!
For those who don’t know the winner was Gluepot Reserve
and we were runners up along with Paiwalla wetland project
Truly we are proud to have been recognised and acknowledged along with projects of this calibre.
