Cluster Walks

In 2009, the Committee decided that a large part of the Groups success was its social focus but that individual property owners had a limited appreciation of work across the catchment and consequently how their project fitted into and contributed to an overall program of weed management and environmental restoration.

Consequently, the concept of “Cluster Walks” was developed. Essentially the idea was to identify a Group or Cluster of connected properties participating in the project, and encourage the landholders to host a walk through the properties, explaining along the way the challenges the properties present and the work that has been done with the help of the Group.

The Sixth Creek watercourse itself was chosen as the focus for these walks.
